GUJRANWALA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Jaan on Saturday said that a code of conduct will be enforced during Muharram and no one would be allowed to disturb the peace. He stressed that the ulema would have a role to play in this regard. Elaborating on how the ban would be enforced, the DC informed those present that those found to be in violation of the code of conduct could face the penalty of ban for three years. It was also mentioned that bans on various clerics had been withdrawn by the district administration. The meeting was attended by a number of police officers and members of the clerics. Separately, four human traffickers were arrested by the FIA in separate raids on Saturday. The accused Shahid Imran, Muhammad Usman, Sarfraz and Shaukat were involved in sending people abroad illegally and applications had been filed against them in the FIA by various citizens. Meanwhile, a man committed suicide at Kamoke. Akram had a quarrel with his son after which he took poison. He was rushed to a hospital but expired when he got there.
