Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has solved the long-standing problem of police officers and officials coming to Lahore from other distant districts, especially remote areas, to carry out official affairs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has inaugurated police lodges “Sar-e-rah” on the upper floor of Qila Gujar Singh Police Station where the excellent arrangements have been made for the temporary stay of police officers and officials from other cities. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar along with Additional IG Punjab Sultan Chaudhry, Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara visited “Sar-e-rah” yesterday, AIG Admin Amara Athar briefed the IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar about the facilities availeble in “Sar-e-rah”. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that residence equipped with modern facilities has been arranged in police lodges entitled “Sar-e-rah” for police officers and officials coming from outside Lahore.Officers and officials coming from distant cities for High Court appearance or any professional matters will use the official residence. “Sar-e-rah” also has separate accommodation for women police officers and personnel. IG Punjab said that all the facilities required for office affairs including computer systems, printers, fax have been arranged in “Sar-e-rah”. IGP said that with the construction of “Sar-e-rah”, long-standing problem of accommodation for the officers and officials upon their arrival in Lahore has been resolved. Earlier, officials from Rahim Yar Khan and other remote districts had to face severe difficulties to appear before the Lahore High Court. IG Punjab said that in the past late night arrival, severe weather, non-provision of facilities early in the morning used to cause problems in the professional affairs of officers and officials. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has prepared this project with its own departmental funds without any government grant and the standard of facilities of this residence is not less than the standard of any international hotel. IG Punjab said that police officers can make bookings through mobile applications for staying in “”Sar-e-rah”, the quality of facilities available here will be maintained with effective management and monitoring system. Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over a meeting to review the performance of Police Tahaffuz Marakaz at the Central Police Office, in which the team of Mandi Bahauddin Police, while presenting a report on the performance of six months to IG Punjab, said that Police Tahaffuz Marakaz Mandi Bahauddin provided policing, social welfare services to 881 citizens. PTM Mandi Bahauddin signed MOUs with 07 social welfare organizations to provide quick relief to various citizens facing different problems. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while appreciating the performance of PTM Mandi Bahauddin said that the platform of PTM Mandi Bahauddin should provide social security to more and more citizens suffering from problems, especially women suffering from domestic violence and social problems, elderly people etc. Priority services should be provided to transgender community and homeless children. IG Punjab directed that DPOs should personally monitor the performance of Police Tahaffuz Marakaz, improve networking and coordination with other departments. IG Punjab also met the Police Tahaffuz Marakaz staff, victim support officer and the benefited citizens and transgender community members. AIG admin Amara Athar and other officers were also present in the event. On the instructions of the Inspector General of Police Punjab, the Punjab Police is continuing its crackdown against dangerous proclaimed offenders residing abroad, in continuation of which, another dangerous PO who escaped to the United Arab Emirates has been arrested, thus the total number of proclaimed offenders arrested from abroad this year has reached 123. IG Punjab while congratulating the police team for arresting the A-category dangerous proclaimed offender from abroad said that the legal process should be completed as soon as possible and the criminal should be punished. IG Punjab further said that the crackdown should be intensified against the dangerous proclaimed offenders involved in murder, robbery and kidnapping. Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued more than 01 million rupees funds for the treatment of Ghazi official, who got injures in the line of duty. On the direction of IG Punjab, the Companion Award Committee meeting was held at the Central Police Office in which funds were approved for the medical expenses of the police officials of various districts including Lahore. According to the details, Nankana Police Ghazi Driver Constable Sajjad Ahmed was given 03 lakh rupees for treatment. Two and a half lakh rupees were given to Ghazi Constable Abdul Latif of Sialkot police for treatment. Ghazi Constables Riasat Ali and Muhammad Boota were given Rs.02 lakh each for treatment. Ghazi Constable Zafar Mehdi was given Rs.01 lakh for treatment. Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident of killing of 02 people in Mandiki Daska and has asked RPO Gujranwala for a report on the incident. IG Punjab ordered the DPO Sialkot to form a special team for the immediate arrest of the accused. IGP directed to investigate all the aspects of the incident and ensure the arrest of the culprits as soon as possible. Dr. Usman Anwar said that justice should be ensured to the families of the killed citizens on a priority basis. Moreover, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also took notice of the alleged rape and murder of 7-year-old girl in Faisalabad’s Dijkot area. IG Punjab asked the report of the incident from RPO Faisalabad and gave task to CPO Faisalabad to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
