Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government, Amir Mir, visited Kasur to assess the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. The Deputy Commissioner of Kasur and senior police officials briefed the provincial minister on the arrangements made for the events related to Muharram-ul-Haram. The provincial minister was also briefed on the security, lighting, and sanitation arrangements along the routes of processions and religious gatherings. The Monitoring Control Room established for Muharram-ul-Haram was also visited by the Caretaker Minister, who reviewed the monitoring system through CCTV cameras. Later, the provincial minister inspected the arrangements at the central procession route and the Imam Bargah Sadat Manzil. During the visit, the organizers of the processions and members of the peace committee also had meetings with the provincial minister. Amir Mir directed the district administration to keep a close eye on suspicious individuals, pickpockets, and troublemakers during Muharram-ul-Haram. He emphasized the importance of alerting the hospitals in case of any emergencies and ensuring medical staff readiness. He stated that the provincial government is utilizing all available resources to maintain peace and security during Muharram-ul-Haram. Full-fledged security arrangements have been made for the processions and religious gatherings by the Punjab government, and control rooms have been established at the tehsil level for their monitoring. Amir Mir expressed his confidence that with the will of Allah, a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere will be maintained throughout Muharram. He also expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements made by Deputy Commissioner Arshad Bhatti and the police officers.
