Sir: During the peak winter season, the 24-hour-long shutdown of CNG stations was started by the SSGC. At that time, the authorities concerned said that due to high demand and consumption by all kinds of consumers, it was necessary to close CNG stations for at least 24 hours in a week. Low pressure at gas fields was the main reason for the decision. Because of this, CNG stations’ closure was ordered to provide sufficient gas to domestic consumers. Now when summer has started, CNG closure of stations continues. It is not fair to deprive CNG consumers for 24 hours when the situation has improved. Dr A CHARLES Karachi
