Police are strengthening security measures for the smooth conduct of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Multan. Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Maqsoodul Hasan conducted a meeting and reviewed the security arrangements of PSL where RPO of Multan Sohail Chaudhry and CPO Mansoorul Haque Rana gave a briefing on the arrangements. Mr Hassan ordered the police to provide foolproof security to the citizens and national and international players. He added the opening ceremony of PSL in Multan is the good fortune of the people of South Punjab. The first match of the PSL will be played on February 13 at the Multan stadium between the winner Multan Sultan and the defending champion Lahore Qalandar. RPO Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry while giving a briefing said that a regular plan has been prepared for security duty. For the security of the match, additional personnel have been requested from other units, including the districts of South Punjab, 10 SPs, 27 DSPs and more than 6000 officials along with employees of other law enforcement agencies will perform the match duties. The Additional IGP added no barrier will be allowed to stand in the way of peace and the miscreants will be dealt with an iron hand. AIG Operations Qazi Ali Raza and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
