Sir: I am writing this letter in light of the brutal accident near Khairpur, which is just the newest knot in a string of horrifying traffic accidents. I think the government needs to enforce traffic laws in the literal sense of the word. Although the sleep-deprived driver does share some blame, this blame also falls on the shoulders of the government. In my opinion there should be two drivers on every vehicle travelling long distance and this rule should be enforced. Furthermore, the roads should be made safer so that any tired driver can park their vehicle and take a power-nap. I hope some steps are taken immediately on this issue. MUHAMMAD YOUSHA Karachi
