LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal on Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior PPP leader Jehangir Bader. In a message, he said Jehangir Bader was a great politician and his services for democracy would be long remembered. The speaker also prayed for peace of the departed soul. Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana also expressed sorrow over the demise of Pakistan People’s Party leader Jehangir Bader. The governor lauded the services of PPP leader for strengthening democracy and unity among the political forces. He said the services of Jehangir Bader would be remembered for a long time. He expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. Moreover, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Information Secretary Syed Samsam Bukhari on Monday expressed grief over the demise of veteran politician Jehangir Bader. In a condolence message, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude. Also, Aurat Foundation also condoled the death of PPP stalwart Jehangir Bader. In a message, AF Chairman Mumtaz Mughal, Resident Director Nabeela Shaheen and others prayed for the departed soul. Paying tribute, they said that Bader was committed to the cause of democracy, adding that he was a grassroots worker and believed in gender equality.
