ISLAMABAD: Senate’s Pakistan-KSA Friendship Group was informed on Thursday that Saudi members of the group were ready to collaborate with their Pakistani counterparts and they wanted to focus on education, the Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia and inter-parliamentary relations.

The group met at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) on Thursday. The convener of the group, Senator Sehar Kamran, informed group members about her engagements with the members of the Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council and Saudi ambassador and her participation in the meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) as convener of the group. The group members appreciated the role of the convener and her proactive approach. Senator Kalsoom Parveen said the Senate must enhance inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
