During the ceremony, President Arif Alvi pinned the medals on the Pakistanis showing outstanding services in various fields.
Sitara-e-Shujaat was awarded to Naeem Rashid, who sacrificed his life while saving others at Christchurch mosque last week.
The awards were conferred with regard to Pakistan Day. Similar ceremonies were held at governor houses in Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar.
Pakistan displayed its military might at the parade held to mark the national day. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad was the guest of honour at the parade.
