Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday appointed finance minister Asad Umar to chair the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee on Wednesday.
The meeting will talk about a five-point agenda:
1) Circular debt and its influence on the power sector
2) Gas pricing
3) The financial health of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and liquidity position
4) DAP situation for the Kharif crop
5) Actions to address a scarcity of urea fertilizer

An announcement issued by the cabinet division stated Petroleum Minister Ghulam Abbasi, Law Minister Farogh Naseem, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid and Planning and Development Minister Khusro Bakhtiar were appointed to the ECC. The committee will also include prime minister’s advisors Dr Ishrat Hussain and Razak Dawood.
Additionally, six more ministers communications, power, privatization, national food security, statistics and water resources will also be included in the ECC after their appointment.
