Pakistan, Qatar to boost defence cooperation: PM

ISLAMABAD – Chief of Staff Qatar Armed Forces Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House here on Tuesday.

Matters relating to bilateral interest were discussed in the meeting. The prime minister said that Qatar was very important country in the region and Pakistan has close ties with Qatar for which strong foundation has been laid by the leadership of the two countries.

Nawaz said that the relationship between the two countries would be further strengthened and there was a lot of potential for cooperation in the field of industry and defence cooperation. Major General Ghanim said that the brotherly and warm relations between the two countries will further grow in all fields of bilateral cooperation.
