Six Lahore High Court judges sworn in

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Saturday administered oath to six additional judges.

Justice Shahid Mubeen, Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem, Justice Raja Shahid Mehmood Abbasi, Justice Shehram Sarwar Ch, Justice Muhammad Sajid Mehmood Sethi and Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar took oath at a ceremony held the LHC judges lounge.

Senior Puisne judge Justice Shahid Hameed Dar as well as other judges, federal and provincial law officers, senior lawyers, officers of Lahore High Court also graced the occasion.

LHC Registrar Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi conducted the proceedings of the ceremony.

After the confirmation of the six judges, the number of confirmed judges at the LHC rose to 44 among a total of 58 judges. The constitutionally sanctioned strength of judges at the LHC is 60.
