ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that former president Pervez Musharraf did not send Nawaz Sharif forcibly abroad but it was his own decision to proceed abroad. According to him, when Nawaz was sent behind bars, he started making appeals to send him to Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, when Shahbaz Sharif came to know about the departure at the airport, he refused to go to Saudi Arabia but Nawaz convinced him to join him. The AML chief said that Nawaz even did not told Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ghaus Ali Shah, who were languishing in jail with him, about their going abroad. He claimed, “They came to know about their departure one day after Sharif brothers had left for Saudi Arabia”. More disclosures are expected against Sharif brothers through Panama leaks scandal and this month would be a tough one for the ruling family, he added.
