Manager Faysal Bank F-10 Islamabad, Usman Gohar, was caught on camera red-handed while harassing a female colleague at work.

In a video that went viral on Pakistani cyberspace, Usman, father of four children, is seen groping a female colleague.

The video infuriated netizens who started reaching out to Faysal Bank and law enforcement agencies with complaints, after which DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat took notice of the incident and ordered swift action against the harasser.

As the news spread, the culprit switched his phone off, ran away from his house and tried to hide from police. Multiple raids were conducted as he stayed at large for many hours. Meanwhile, he was dismissed from service by Faysal Bank.

Few hours later, DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat informed that Usman Gohar has been arrested by DIG Operations Islamabad and a team lead by PSP officer Rana Wahab, and has been shifted to police station.

Hamza Shafqaat has urged the public to delete the video to respect the girl’s privacy.
The incident stirred a debate on social media, as a huge number of people saw this as an opportunity to come up with victim-shaming comments, questioning why did she not resist or react, and claiming that her response suggested it was consensual. On the other hand, some people are also pointing out that, reportedly, the same bank had recently announced a dress code for its female staff to combat ‘immorality’.
