In a statement, he said such subversive incidents had already taken place in Karachi and even India could also pace up its violations on the Line of Control.
He said the BJP government was under immense pressure and Pakistan would have to minutely deliberate over the current situation.
The foreign minister said that be it Waziristan or LoC, India neither wanted peace in Pakistan, nor even in Afghanistan. India was acting irresponsibly and playing a subversive role in Afghanistan, he added. Foreign Minister Qureshi said he would contact the foreign ministers of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries to discuss the latest situation.
Meanwhile, Indian troops on Saturday initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Hajipir and Bedori Sectors along the line of control (LOC) last night targeting civil population.
In a tweet, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said due to indiscriminate fire of Indian troops in Mensar village, Bedori Sector, a 13 years old innocent girl Iqra Shabbir embraced shahadat, while her mother and a 12 year old boy sustained serious injuries.
He added that Pakistan Army troops responded effectively to Indian unprovoked firing.
In Indian-held Kashmir, occupation troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred three more Kashmiri in Srinagar city. The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Pazwalpora area of the city. The operation was going on while Mobile internet services were snapped in all areas of the city.
Indian troops and police personnel, during house raids, arrested over a dozen youth in Sopore and Badgam areas.
On the other hand, Pakistan summoned Indian Charge d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia to register a strong protest over the ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday.
Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forces in Hajipir and Bedori sectors of the LoC on June 20, 2020, a 13-year old Iqra Shabbir, daughter of Shabbir Ahmed martyred, while 32-year old Zahida Bano, wife of Shabbir Ahmed and 12-year old Saddam Rafique, son of Rafique Butt sustained serious injuries with all being the residents of Mensar village.
The Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri summoned the Indian diplomat and condemned the targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian forces, said a Foreign Office press release.
The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB) have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons. This year, India has committed 1440 ceasefire violations to date, martyring 13 people and leaving other 104 innocent civilians seriously injured.
Condemning the targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian occupation forces, the DG (SA & SAARC) underscored that such senseless acts, in clear violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding and complete disregard for international human rights and international norms, further vitiated the tense atmosphere.
He added that by raising tensions along the LoC and the WB, India could not divert attention from the worsening human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K).
He said the Indian government must realize that its irresponsible policies and unilateral actions were increasingly imperiling peace and security in the region. India must act responsibly in the interest of regional peace and security, he added.
The DG (SA & SAARC) called upon the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding; investigate this and other such incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace along the LoC and the WB.
He also urged that Indian side should permit the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to play its mandated role as per the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions.
Meanwhile, the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir would hold an emergency foreign minister level meeting via video conference today (Monday) to discuss the latest situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).
The meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of the member states of Jammu and Kashmir Contact Group including Azerbaijan, Niger, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, an OIC statement said.
OIC Secretary General Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen said the meeting was part of a series of continuous Jammu and Kashmir Contact Group meetings to address the Kashmir issue.
The meeting has been summoned in wake of the unabated extra-judicial killings of Kashmiri youth by the Indian occupation forces in IOJK and persistent other human rights violations in the territory.
More than 110 innocent Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian occupation forces during the past five months in fake “encounters” and so-called “cordon-and-search” operations, according to Foreign Office.
India has incarcerated eight million Kashmiris including top Kashmiri leader with 900,000 occupation troops. The people of the IOJK have been suffering under inhuman lockdown and military siege for over 10 months following India’s illegal and unilateral action of August 5, 2019.
While the world is grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, India is busy in unabashedly advancing the RSS-BJP inspired extremist Hindutva ideology with the perpetuated human rights violations against minorities in India particularly the Muslims.
