PESHAWAR: A major terror bid has been foiled as the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) have defused a hand grenade hurled by the terrorists at Mufti Mahmood Flyover area in Peshawar.
The natives of the area spotted a hand grenade hurled at Mufti Mahmood Flyover area on Saturday and called police and BDS personnel. The police and BDS personnel rushed to the area and blocked the road for two hours and cordoned-off the whole area. The BDS defused the hand grenade saving the city from a major disaster.
Moreover, the security personnel have started an operation in the adjoining areas to monitor the security arrangements, however, no arrests have been made till the filing of this report.
