Satire: ‘Only eradication of corruption in Punjab can end terror attacks in KP’

LAHORE: After conjuring his 231st decisive victory in the past two years through the launch of his Ehtisaab Rally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is edging closer to solving the problems of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.

Talking exclusively to Khabaristan Times Khan said that resolving issues in KP, where his party has formed the provincial government, is only possible by conquering Punjab.

“Terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can only be stopped by eradicating corruption in Punjab,” Khan said. “This is why every time there is a deadly blast in the province the senior PTI leadership assembles in Punjab,” he added. Khan reiterated that this is the most effective counter-terrorism strategy for the volatile regions of Pakistan.

“Despite KP suffering so many tragedies, the PTI leadership has picked itself up and sung, danced and rocked on towards removing the Prime Minister, and the menace of corruption with him,” he said. “It wasn’t easy. It takes a lot of dedication and commitment to the people who elected you as their representatives. Needless to state the obvious, once Nawaz goes, terrorism goes as well.”

Khan also stressed that the Ehtisaab (accountability) rally might seem to be aimed at the PM, but it is for the accountability of everyone doing anything wrong in the country.

“By holding ehtisaab rallies in Punjab, we are also holding the Taliban accountable in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, such is the spread of the destruction caused by Nawaz Sharif and his corruption,” Khan said. “The Taliban are only attacking innocent civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because we are trying to eliminate their masters in Punjab.”
