Author: Daily Times

Sir: In the last couple of months more than 84-children died in Tharparkar district due to poor facilities in hospitals and malnutrition. According to a survey, 703-children have died due to malnutrition and other diseases to date in 2019.

Malnutrition is a condition that results from eating a diet in which one or more nutrients are either not enough or are too much such that the diet causes health problems It may involve calories, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins or minerals. So the government needs to take initiatives especially focused on addressing the issue of malnutrition and adulteration, both of which were adversely impacting the growth of the young population in Tharparkar.
