Sir: If you do not become a target of a suicide bomb blast, you could be executed for originating from a Christian or Shiite community. If fortunately, you are part of a religious group that exists in majority, you could still be persecuted for your relatively secular views.

If you are lucky enough to escape such tragedies, you are still in deep murky waters. If you do not fall victim to a reckless car crash, a lethal gas leak, shoddy construction, get caught in the middle of a gunshot fracas between two rival political parties, floods or earthquakes, you might have traversed the unforgiving, forbidden paths with a rich and spoilt politician’s child. If after all of this, you are still lingering in the world of the living, you should thank your lucky stars for just being here.
