KHYBER AGENCY: A man was killed, while another sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast planted by unidentified miscreants in Khyber Agency’s Bara tehsil. An official of the Khyber Political Administration and local sources informed this scribe that local tribesmen were passing by the area when one of them accidentally stepped on the IED buried by the roadside. A man identified as Shamsul Haq was killed on the spot, while another person namely Noor Khan was hit by the splinters and was shifted to the nearest health centre for medical aid, sources said. Law enforcers immediately moved to the crime scene, collected evidence and started a search operation to nab the culprits. No militant organisation had claimed responsibility for the incident until the filing of this report.
