Literature is the backbone of any language

Author: Shamsul Haque Channa

Literature is generally considered as one of the core parts of a language and it mainly refers to the philosophy of ideas. Ever since the beginning of time, the first and foremost source of communication has been language, and any rich language has its own collection of literature. English is considered to have the widest and oldest collection of literature.

Literature is produced only by certain kinds of people and from a historic point of view, it is worth discussing because literary geniuses like William Shakespeare, Socrates and Aristotle made huge contributions to the field. They spent their whole lives building a commendable image of literature for the people of their own time as well as now.

The connection of romance and literature is like that of the heart and brain. Romance can be expressed through literature and good literature also carries an element of romance. This is one of the reasons it is enjoyed and loved by many

The value of literature is increasing rapidly because this world is now constantly producing creative minds who devour it. Students prefer to study literature rather than language linguistics. The freedom that one gets from penning down their own ideas in the liberal world is another reason people prefer to study literature, and every year, the number of students of literature increases.

Novels, magazines and newspaper all contribute to literature in one way or another.

In my opinion, literature is the backbone of a language and therefore, students ought to learn it as a subject irrespective of their field of study.
