Another 44 dengue cases surface in Karachi

As many as 44 more dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi city in the last 24 hours, taking the reported cases toll to 15,021 since 1st Jan 2019. Spokesman, Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, while talking to PPI, confirmed that at least 51 new dengue fever cases emerged across the Sindh province in a day, out of which 44 were in Karachi and seven in other districts. A total of 46 people had been died across the Sindh province out of them 44 were reported in Karachi city and one each from Hyderabad and Ghotki, respectively. In December, a total of 753 dengue positive cases surfaced across the province out of which 675 were confirmed from Karachi and 78 from other districts. In 2019, a total of 16,171 dengue cases were reported in Sindh province so far out of which, 15,021 happened in Karachi and 1150 in other districts.
