Four robbers were killed in exchange of fire with police, arms and ammunition recovered here Friday-Saturday midnight.
According to details, the Saddar Jalalpur Police approached a gang of robbers engaged in picket looting near Haji Pul at Parmat Road in Multan. An exchange of fire took place between robbers and police in which four robbers was killed while others managed to escape. The police also recovered two Kalashnikovs, two Beretta pistols, ammunition and a 125 motorcycle were recovered from possession of killed robbers.
The killed robbers included Shaukat alias Shoki Qalal wanted by police in dozens of criminal cases. Their bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The police after registering a case into the incident started efforts to arrested their other accomplices at large.
