ISLAMABAD: The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) – Khursheed Shah – said on Tuesday that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan would be responsible if the army took over Pakistan’s reigns, a local TV channel reported.
Shah confirmed that the government was approaching him for talks over PTI’s alleged lockdown call of Islamabad on November 2 but he held the government responsible for the country’s prevailing political situation. He lambasted Imran by saying that he should not drag the military in the issue as 10,000 people would be enough to lockdown the federal capital.
Shah criticised the chief ministers (CM) for not taking the necessary security steps under the National Action Plan (NAP). He demanded an inquiry into the matter as the cadets were not armed to counter to militants.
