KARACHI: The first green building guidelines, which would help achieve energy and water efficiency, were launched at the second Pakistan Green Build Expo and Conference 2016.
The participants of the event stressed on the importance of green building design and construction guidelines, and how it could help achieve energy and water efficiency in new and existing buildings, said a statement issued on Sunday.
The first ever ‘Pakistan Green Excellency Awards’ were also held at the event, which were jointly organised by FAKT Exhibitions and Pakistan Green Building Council at Expo Centre Karachi.
During the ceremony, seven awards were given; the Green Leadership Award was presented to DHA Karachi Administrator Brig Shahid Hassan Ali, DHA City Karachi Project Director Brig (r) Muhammad Rafique, ARCASIA Zone-A Vice President Jahangir Khan Sherpao, Head of CSIS & CIS CitiBank Dolmen Harbour Front, Karachi, Col Chaudhry Muhammad Sabahuddin, and Artistic Milliners Garments Director Murtaza Yaqoob Ahmed.
