Govt spending Rs 26b for provision of natural gas in KP

The federal government is spending more than 26 billion rupees for the provision of natural gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). This was stated by a spokesman of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) while talking to the media in Peshawar on Saturday. Work on various gas supply projects in Hazara, Malakand, Mardan, Kohat, Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan divisions was in progress, he said. The government completed more than one thousand projects in KP during fiscal year 2018-19, he added. Supply of natural gas will ensure protection of forests in the province, said the SNGPL spokesman.
