Talking to the media, the foreign minister said Pakistan had already shared the details of Ormara terror incident with the Iranian authorities, adding that Afghan and Iranian territories were being used for carrying out attacks in Pakistan. He said Pakistan was helping Iran recover its kidnapped border security guards.
Qureshi repeated that Pakistan wanted stable and peaceful borders with its neighbouring countries, including Iran.
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday reiterated that no militant group would be allowed to use Pakistani soil against anyone. Addressing a joint press conference along with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the prime minister had said, “Islamabad is taking decisive action against the militant groups.” He said Pakistani security forces’ personnel were martyred in a cowardly attack in Makran a few days back. It may be noted Pakistan and Iran had also agreed to set up a Joint Rapid Reaction Force to guard the common borders.
