Talking to media after attending World e-Governments Organization of Cities and Local Governments (WeGO) 4th conference in Ulyanovsk, Russian, Waseem Akhtar Mayor Karachi informed that governments in most of the countries have provided all types of assistance to their respective local body institutions in order to help them running and resolving their communities’ civic matters in better way.

Weak local body system cannot help out the communities besides bringing in any change in the areas’ environments and living of their respective area people.

Karachi would remain steadfast towards turning the concept of smart-city into reality like cities-Amsterdam, Singapore, Barcelona, Madrid and Stockholm.
