Plane carrying Bilawal Bhutto skids off runway

Author: News Desk

A private jet with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on board skidded off the runway at Rawalpindi airport on Sunday. Bilawal as well as all other passengers and crew on board the flight remained unhurt in the incident. The plane, however, was slightly damaged.

Rescue teams were called right away at the site of the incident.

The defunct Benazir Bhutto International Airport is now limited to private planes and the VIP movement only.

“Probe is being conducted into the matter, while Bilawal has been sent back to Islamabad,” an official privy to the matter said.
