Electricity crisis

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Pakistan is facing a looming electricity crisis, which has been paralysing the entire country. The main cause of this shortage is lack of consistent planning and implementation over decades. The demand for electricity is exceeding day by day but production of it is decreasing. This crisis did not occur overnight and this is impossible to overcome this shortage overnight.

The ultimate solution for this shortage is only the production of innovative engineers and entrepreneurs who not only devise such methods to produce electricity but raise the dazzling economy of Pakistan. Alas our universities provide less scope of practice to our engineers that’s why the number of electric engineers is the highest but their technical element is missing. Electricity crisis is not the crisis of energy resources it is in fact the crisis of our strategies and policies of bookish knowledge which is leading us towards a state of crisis.
