MUMBAI: Former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been appointed as Director of Cricket Operations by Mumbai Indians, the IPL franchise announced on Tuesday. The 40-year-old is set to be a part of the Mumbai Indians outfit, and will be a part of the franchise representation, joining the owners Mrs Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani, at the IPL 2019 Auction. Zaheer was part of the Mumbai Indians side for three seasons – in 2009, 2010 and 2014 – and took 29 wickets in 30 games for them. Apart from his home town team, the pacer has also featured for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils during his IPL career.
