Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Wednesday submitted a request in the National Assembly for issue of production orders of party president Shehbaz Sharif to ensure his presence at the upcoming session.
President Arif Alvi has summoned a session of the National Assembly on October 29.
“As discussed, production orders of the leader of the opposition may kindly be issued for the forthcoming session summoned to meet on October 29, 2018, so that he can attend the whole session without any inconvenience,” a request letter signed by former NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Marriyam Aurangzeb, Tahira Aurangzeb, Zahra Wadood Fatemi and Murtaza Javed Abbasi stated.
Shehbaz has been in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) since October 5 in connection with the Ashiana Housing Scheme case. He attended the last NA session held on October 17 after his production orders were issued by the speaker of the Lower House.
