About 300 students of the Government Primary School for Boys, situated in Landi Kotal town, organised a walk to raise awareness as part of the ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan across the country.

Reportedly, students and their teachers initiated the march from the school while holding placards and chanting slogans in favour of cleanliness drive and via Pak-Afghan Highway gathered at Ayub Kelley area.

Earlier, students swept their classrooms, veranda, and many areas nearby the school.

Head Teacher Amunul Hag Afridi said that the aim of the awareness walk was to sensitise masses, particularly students to adopt neatness and tidiness in their schools and homes.

“Being Muslim, cleanliness is our religious obligation which ensures a healthy environment in the society,” he said.

Meanwhile, students pledged to follow certain standards of cleanliness set by their schools.
