Hamza ‘strongly’ condemns Shehbaz Sarif’s arrest

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz on Friday has strongly condemned PML-N’s President Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Housing Scheme (AHS) case.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore Hamza Shehbaz said that PML-N leaders were being arrested before every election, which was beyond consideration.

Hazma Shehbaz said that his father was accused of cancelling AHS contract awarded to Lateef & sons despite the fact that it was cancelled by the Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC).

“Lateef was accused of irregularities in orange line and other projects, adding that he was entered into plea bargain with the NAB.”

He disclosed that Lateef was absconding in a corruption case and still was awarded with contract of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (PBRT) by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
