LONDON: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz informed on Wednesday that Begum Kulsoom, who passed away yesterday, will be laid to rest in Jati Umra on Friday.

In a conversation with a private channel, Hussain apprised that his mother’s body will reach Pakistan on Friday and will be buried at Lahore’s Jati Umra residence.

However, Hussain said that both he and his brother Hassan will not be able to attend their mother’s funeral as they would not be traveling to Pakistan.

The government late on Wednesday released former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar on parole to attend the funeral of former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
