ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said on Tuesday that those who are critising that we are begging money for the construction of Diamer, Bhasha, and Mohmand Dam should be ashamed of their thinking.
Justice Nisar was presiding over a session, of Kidney Liver transplant case, when he remarked about the dam funds and expressed anger at those who have been criticising for donations.
Dam construction and fund collection is based on national interests only, CJP observed.
The apex court judge further said, “We started this good cause with the national spirit but some narrow-minded people are accusing us of begging.”

“Helping yourself is not begging, those who are saying such things should be ashamed,” CJP added.
Justice Nisar had established a dam fund in July this year and aimed to raise money for the construction of Diamer, Bhasha, and Mohmand Dam.
Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan had urged the nation and overseas Pakistanis to give money in the construction of dams.
