BADIN: NA-230 (Badin II) Returning Officer (RO) on Monday claimed that Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Fehmida Mirza created hindrances in the process of vote counting due to which recounts from only 13 polling stations could be recorded.
The RO wrote a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and accused Fehmida Mirza of causing unnecessary trouble.
He said that due to hindrances caused by Fehmida, recounting could not be done on all polling stations in NA-230. Moreover, the RO said the vote count of Mirza reduced after recounting in 13 polling stations.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has rejected results without proper counting and has termed it as ‘unacceptable rigging’.
