Sir: I am writing this letter because I want to bring attention to the negative influence of mobile phones on today’s youth. Young people today are using their smart phones excessively, and thereby isolating themselves from society. This is because all their social interactions take place in the digital space, meanwhile they have little face to face interaction with their family and peers.

In fact, use of electronic devices has become a full-fledged addiction for some. Children seem most vulnerable to video game addiction, which has a very negative impact on their mental health and studies. These addictions also lead to sedentary lifestyle and obesity, which can lead to numerous life threatening diseases in adulthood. Mobile phones and the internet are very useful technologies, but should be used in moderation.
