Sir: I am writing this letter to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the benefits technical education could have on Karachi. The government should shift its focus to technical and vocational education so it can meet the demand of enterprises and corporations who need a skilled workforce.
Karachi is full of young, able people who can’t find jobs because they are unable to operate the latest technologies. The government should arrange various free courses so that the cities’ youth can learn the skills they need to thrive and achieve upward social mobility. This is the key to alleviating poverty in Karachi, and can become a gateway to prosperity.
