SEPCO disconnects 800 electricity connections

DADU: Sukkur electric supply Power Company (SEPCO) on Wednesday launched a drive against theft of electricity.

The team was led by SEPCO division executive engineer Habibullah Panhwar and SDO Noor Muhammad Chandio.

It disconnected 800 illegal connections including Kundhas and different places of dadu, Phulji, Khudabad, Makhdoom Bilwal towns and their surrounding areas.

Habibullah Panhwar said that an outstanding amount of 5 crore rupees was to be recovered from electricity defaulters. He said that SEPCO approached police for registration of cases against 27 thefts.

All cables removed from Kundhas were burnt before media and consumers were advised legal electricity connections.
