Wall chalking

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The walls of any city reflect thoughts of the people of that city. Karachi was known as “Uroos-ul-Bilad” (City of lights) in the past. Wall chalking is an illegal utilisation of private property which ruins the appearance of the city”. Advertisements are necessary for boosting business or any product but there are many other mediums for that purpose instead of ruining the walls with cheap lines and advertisements.

From Surjani to Keamri all walls are chalked with these cheap advertisements and it should be stopped now. We should raise our voice against this non-social act and take steps to eliminate wall chalking form all over the city so we can save the beauty and prestige of these walls. This is not only the duty of concerned authorities but all the citizens of the city.
