LAHORE: Legends Nadeem Khan Invitational Pro-AM Golf Tournament will tee off at Defense Raya Golf & Country Club here on Wednesday (today). “It is organised every year by ‘Legends Tour’ in the memory of Muhammad Nadeem Khan, former Chief Executive Officer of Raaziq Group,” said a spokesman for the organisers on Tuesday. “Nadeem was a very popular figure within the golf community amongst both amateurs and pros, as an altruist,” the spokesman added.

He said the pros were from humble background and don’t find much opportunities to partake in bigger tournaments. “The idea behind the event is to involve both the amateurs and pros and make them play as a team. There will be 120 players in total (60 amateurs and 60 pros) to play in pairs and they will be posting a joint score.”

The total prize money of the tournament is Rs. 2.5 million for pros. Toyota is offering GLi against ‘Hole in One’ over 4 holes. The game will be played over 18 holes. The reporting time of the players is 9:00 AM and tee off time is 10:00 AM. The closing ceremony will be at 4:00 PM.
