Envoys vow to boost academic ties with NUST

ISLAMABAD: In continuation of its efforts to boost academic and research ties with the higher education institutions across the globe, the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on Tuesday hosted a group of ambassadors, deputy heads of mission, and research counselors from a number of countries stationed in Islamabad.

NUST Rector Lt Gen (r) Naweed Zaman along with senior management of the university greeted the guests from embassies of Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, European Union, France, Italy and Iran. The guests were given a detailed briefing on NUST working, with focus on national and international achievements, array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, state-of-the-art research facilities and research and development activities.

During the discussion, the guests were apprised of collaboration opportunities available at NUST in research, student exchange programs, faculty mobility.
