LAHORE: A teenager shot dead a three-year-old child in the provincial capital on Sunday.
Police said that the incident took place in Kahna, where a 12-year-old boy opened fire with a handgun on three-year-old Asad, killing him on the spot.
The accused fled the scene after committing the murder. The body was taken to a hospital for medico-legal requirements.
Later, family members and relatives of the deceased held a protest demonstration against the incident by blocking Ferozpur Road.
They dispersed after authorities assured them that action would be taken against the culprit.
Police have registered a case into the incident and an investigation is underway. Police said they were looking for the suspect.
