Tribute paid to Asma Jahangir

SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Press Club and Community Action for Rural Development Shikarpur at a joint meeting paid tribute to Asma Jahangir, prominent advocate who breathed her last in Lahore.

Abdul Salam Unar, President club, Iqbal Detho, human rights activists, Deen Muhammad Shaikh, Mian Zafar Alvi, Pervaiz Abro, Nasim Bukhari, Ali Asghar Pahore, Mumtaz Mangi and others highlighting services rendered by Asma Jahangir expressed their deep sympathies with the bereaved family members. Rahmatullah Soomro, Waheed Phulpoto, Zahid Noon, social activists including Shahnawaz Abro, Mukhtiar Shaikh, Nadir Balcoh, Zafar Channa, and number of persons belonging to different walks of life were present on the occasion. Candle light vigil was also held paying homage to Asma Jahangir.
