Sardar Abdul Majeed replaces Khawaja as Sindh IGP

KARACHI: Sardar Abdul Majeed was appointed the new Sindh Inspector General Police (IGP) in place of AD Khawaja on Saturday.

A notification was also issued regarding the appointment of Abdul Majeed as the new Sindh IGP.

According to details, Sardar Abdul Majeed hails from Balochistan and has served for 32 years in the police and began his career as Liyari’s ASP.

Prior to his appointment as the new IGP, Sardar Abdul Majeed was serving as the research department additional IG.

Reportedly, he likes to regularly indulge in yoga exercise and has a stern disposition.

Earlier, spokesperson of the Sindh government revealed that the AD Khawaja has been removed from his post and that official notification has also been issued in this regard.

Sindh government wrote a letter to federation seeking to remove Inspector General Sindh AD Khawaja.
