Sub-engineers remind Imran of ‘unfulfilled’ promise

ISLAMABAD: All Sub Engineers Association KP Tuesday held a protest in front of PTI chairman Imran’s residence in Bani Gala and demanded upgradation in service.

Talking to Daily Times, Malik Bashir Ahmad, president of the association, said: “Imran had promised eight months ago that our demand would be met. Last month, the KP government upgraded 75,800 employees but upgradation of sub- engineers was postponed by the cabinet over unknown reasons.”

When contacted, Arif Ahmad Zai, a PTI MPA said, “KP Chief Minister Khattak had promised to upgrade sub-engineers. To a question, he said that there must have been technical issues that’s was why upgradation process of sub-engineers was stopped.
