Justice for Zainab

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Hearing about the recent tragedy in Kasur has filled me with grief. My mind is out of control. How can a person subject a child to such cruelty? This is not the first time that a child in Pakistan has been sexually abused. According to a report, 4,139 children were sexually abused in Pakistan in 2016. Of these children, 97 percent were abused more than once. 47 percent of these children were abused by their relatives. The above figures show what the situation is like in this country. It is rightly said that justice delayed is justice denied. The government has failed to protect our children. It needs to take concrete steps in this regard.
