Sir: The brutal and shocking rape and murder of seven year old Zainab is shameful news for our country. Her body was found in a garbage pile in near Kashmir Chowk on Wednesday. She was resident of Kasur. She was abducted four days before the discovery of her body on the way to a tuition centre. While every minister in the incumbent government has condemned the incident, they are all also to blame. Everyone has known Kasur has a problem related to sex crimes against children since the child sex ring bust in 2015, but nothing has been done about it. Who will give justice to Zainab’s parents? Only Zainab’s parents do not want justice, all the people of Pakistan want justice. After all, this tragedy could befall some other innocent soul tomorrow. The government of Punjab must wake up!
