Women empowerment key to poverty eradication: KP CM

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday said that women empowerment was key to poverty eradication, building resilient societies and promoting sustainable development.

“It’s an essential component of human development and basic human right,” the chief minister told the inauguration ceremony of “Women Empowerment Policy” at the Chief Minister’s House.

The function was also addressed by Women Parliamentary Caucus Chairperson Meraj Humayun, UN Women Welfare Affairs Country Head Jamshed Qazi and others.
